HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT

St. Andrew’s Secondary School, Adikpo, was established in Febuary 1967. The first teacher and Princpal of the school was Rev. Fr. Hebert Noonan of blessed memory. He started the school on a temporary site at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Adikpo. In the same year (1967), the school was moved to Gboko because of the Nigerian Civil War that broke out at Obudu in the present day Cross River State, very close to Adikpo. In 1968, St. Andrew’s Secondary School was returned to Adikpo to its permanent site where it has remained till today.

St. Andrew’s Secondary School, Adikpo is an all-boys school with full boarding facilities. The school offers subjects both in the arts and sciences. It is one of the recognised science schools in Benue State of Nigeria, with standard and well equiped science laboratories. There are staff quarters to accommodate all members of staff working in the school.
